Section 1: Name; - The New Hampshire Club ( NH Club )
Section 2: Purpose
To provide Social and Community Interaction. A “not-for-profit” Organization.
Article 2: Qualifications and Membership
Section 1: QualificationsMembership in the NH Club is open to residents of the Villages who reside or have lived in New Hampshire. For couples where only one is from NH, the other is grandfathered.
Section 2: Annual Membership Dues
Annual membership dues will be assessed and collected beginning with the October and November meetings of the club for the coming year. Payment of dues qualifies residents as members. Non-payment of dues prohibits attendance at NH Club sanctioned Social functions. However, visiting guests of a paid member will be exempt.
Article 3: Officers, Responsibilities, Elections and Vacancies
Section 1: Officers (term of office will be one calendar year)
President:
Presides at Club meetings and directs official business. Shall be a full-time resident of the Villages, however, the President can be a “snowbird” if the Vice-President is a full time resident. Supervises some committee chairpersons. Has the authority to sign NH Club checks in the absence of the Treasurer.
Vice-President:
Assists the President in his/her duties. In the absence of the President, preside at Club meeting and directs official business. Supervises some committee chairpersons. Shall be a full-time resident of the Villages, however, the Vice-President can be a “snowbird” if the President is a full time resident. Has the authority to sign NH Club checks in the absence of the Treasurer.
Secretary:
Maintains accurate minutes of all regular and special meetings as called by the President or Vice-President. Holds the official copy of the By-Laws. Provides newspaper articles of meetings associated with the Club. Presents a current Secretary’s report of the prior meeting minutes.
Treasurer:
Collects and disburses all monies. Maintains accurate financial records. Presents a Treasurer’s report for the month-end prior to the current meeting. Turns over the current year-end Financial records to the Audit committee for review. The Audit should be completed by the first meeting in January.
Section 2: Elections
The President or his/her designee shall open Officer nominations at the October meeting. The election of Officers will be held at the November meeting. Elections will be by a simple majority of the members present.
Section 3: Vacancies
In the event of an office becoming vacant, nominations shall be asked for and an election held to fill the remainder of the term of the individual vacating that office.
Article 4: Committees
Board of Directors:
The board will consist of the President, the Vice-President, the Secretary, the Treasurer and the past President.
Standing Committees:
All committees will serve for one calendar year, or until a new committee is appointed. Committees will include, but not be limited to the following:

Article 5: Expenditure
All non-operating expenditures over $150 must be voted on at any regular Business meeting by a 2/3 vote of the members present.
Article 6: Amending By-Laws
The By-Laws may be amended at any regular meeting be a 2/3 vote of the members present, provided a written notice of the proposed amendments has been presented to the membership at least one meeting prior to the vote.
Article 7: Indemnification of Liability
No Individual member, Officer or Director shall be liable for debt, liability or obligation of the NH Club.
